 What a way to start the year! Robert Parker tasted our un-released 2007 Keever Vineyards Estate Cabernet Sauvignon last fall and awarded it 93 points in the December 2009 Wine Advocate. Needless to say, we were thrilled. Here's how he describes the wine: "Superb balance, purity, length, and fruit integrity characterize the dense ruby/ purple-tinged 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon. With sweeter fruit and rounder tannins, it offers an overall sense of finesse, balance, and harmony."Winemaker Celia Welch describes it like this: "Spiced plums, dark juicy berries, and Bing cherry dominate the nose on this very intensely aromatic Cabernet, with vanilla, toasty oak, warm spice tones (cinnamon, nutmeg) and a touch of mocha adding depth and ripeness to the first impression. Palate-wise, the entry is full-bodied and silky in texture, with fruit flavors echoing the aromas. Soft acidity adds a fresh note to the fruit flavors, while the lingering impression is of warm summer berries with a hint of caramel." There is currently a limit of 12 bottles per household. Only 100 cases will be released through the website. 650 cases were produced. Summer is here, and we can no longer ship Ground to anyone outside of California.
